Trackline Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
Trackline ("the app") is developed by Altug Taskiran. This policy explains what data the app uses, where it is stored and how you can delete it. Trackline has no advertising, no third-party analytics and no third-party SDKs. We do not sell your data.
1. Data we handle
- Location. Used to record your drives (route, distance, time, speed), to show your position on the map and to find routes near you. Recording happens only when you start a drive or when automatic drive detection is enabled; background location is used so a drive keeps recording with the screen off.
- Drive history. Your trips are stored on your device. If you use iCloud, parts of your data may sync through your own iCloud account, which Apple manages.
- Profile. Your nickname, a numeric tag (e.g. name#1234), an optional profile photo and optional car photos and car details.
- Routes you publish. If you make a route public (Pro feature), its name, route line, start and end points and your results on it are stored in Apple CloudKit and visible to other users.
- Crew features. If you join a Crew, a summary of your drives and, only if you turn on the live-location option in Settings (off by default), your current position are shared with the members of that Crew. You can turn it off at any time.
- Reports. If you report content or a user, the report (reason, optional note and the identifiers involved) is stored so we can review it.
- Subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details; the app only learns whether Trackline Pro is active.
- Photos. Car photos you choose are scanned on your device for sensitive content. Photos are only saved to your library when you tap save in the share sheet.
2. Where data lives
Your data is stored on your device and in Apple's CloudKit (private and public databases of this app's iCloud container). We do not run our own servers and do not use any other third-party service. Apple's handling of CloudKit data is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
3. Who can see what
- Only you can see your full drive history.
- Other users can see your nickname and tag, your profile photo and car photos if you set them, your overall stats if you choose to show them, routes you make public, and your results on public routes.
- Members of your Crew can see your drive summaries, and your live location only if you enabled sharing.
4. Sharing and tracking
We do not share your data with third parties and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. The app does not show ads.
5. Retention and deletion
Data stays until you delete it. In the app, go to Settings → Delete Account and All Data to remove what you published to CloudKit (profile, routes, results, Crew data) and everything stored on the device. You can also email us at tracklineappsupport@gmail.com and we will remove your data. Reports we receive may be kept as long as needed to enforce our community rules.
6. Children
Trackline is intended for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will delete the data.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or KVKK) you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data and to object to its processing. Use the in-app deletion or email tracklineappsupport@gmail.com.
8. Security
Data is transmitted to and stored in Apple's infrastructure using Apple's security measures. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. For important changes we will notify you in the app. The date above shows the latest version.
